Wild Caught Extra Large Prawns
Wild Caught Extra Large Prawns
These prawns are caught in clean coastal water and blast-frozen at ultra-low temperature within hours, so the flesh keeps the sweetness and springy texture it had when it came aboard. They grow to a large, even size with glossy translucent shells and thick, plump meat.
Nothing is added to make them heavier — no water injection, no chemical soaking, no water-retention agents — so what you thaw is what was caught. The vein is clean and the shell comes away easily, which keeps preparation short.
Blanch them briefly to taste the sweetness on its own, or pan-fry, grill, steam with garlic, or drop them into a seafood pot. Sold in 500 g packs, individually frozen so you can take out only what you need. Keep at -18 °C and thaw slowly in the fridge rather than in warm water.
